OXFORD BIOMEDICA (OXB): MODERATED CHART AND DISCUSSION THREAD

When the shares were at 44p or thereabouts, OXB announced the deal with SA and pronounced that SA would get shares in return for their payment at some time in the future!!!
When the share price collapsed a few days afterwards and the placing was announced, hey presto SA was included in the placing at the very much lower share price.
There must have been about 1000 posts at the time about what was being meant by that RNS, when they would buy the shares, whether they would have to buy them on the market etc etc.
With hindsight, it was obvious that SA were tipped off about the placing etc etc.
And then we all wondered where the leak came from. Could it not have been that shorters would have got tipped off about a placing via some unscrupulous manager at SA? Or perhaps there were some very clever speculators who knew what the RNS really meant as soon as they saw it, in which case with that RNS and deal with SA, AK showed that he was not that smart.
I've held OXB shares since 1998 and never sold any. much to my chagrin. I remember in the distant past when Metxia was the lead product and was well inside Phase II trials and looked like Phase III trials were not too far away.
From one year to the next, during the dot-com collapse when nobody was really paying attention, Metxia got quietly shoved to the back of the pile.
I've been with this company for so long because my wife did a phD in this area of molecular biology. She told me back in 1998 that the technology would never work...so I bought the shares with the intention of hanging on to the bitter end! I have been happy with the overall fundamental progress of OXB over all these years, but I can't say I feel as confident about AK as the mainstream of posters on this thread.
