Incidentally RAdio4 news just announced that 'many are calling for Gene therapy to be tested now , on the terminally ill, to see if it can get to grips with Parkinsons and Neurological disease'.
- laudible sentiments indeed, however we know they will not get there as it would mock the actual procedural process of clinical trials then clinical approval.
IF it was given a special Government fast track it would mean the Government revolutionising the way drugs get to market. It wont happen.
It would also be curtains for OXB's future Parkinsons and Neurological treatments. We have to fight such cavalier sentiments no matter how laudible.
