However I note you can cancer a 'disease' and in this itself lies a problem, it may or not be an infection, or an internal malalaise, or a combination of both. For example unravelling gene telomeres - an ageing thing- might link with a viral agent to produce a tumor, - or maybe the telomere-unravelled gense does it itself, many may be the reasons for cancer.
Too many issues with the human system are called diseases and they are not really, eg asthma.
Whatever!, something which targets a protein or a feature of cancer cells like Trovax does gets my vote.
But 2006 should be the year we get Trovax off our backs and making us money, as well as the year we see major advances with our next sets of treatments .
