Benchmark,
The eSensor device would not be used for testing MRSA, as it it used to target many DNA markers at once, hence Cystic Fibrosis and CYP450. OptiGene however would be able to tackle infectious diseases as it designed to be POC and cheap and quick identifying simple DNA targets.
You have produced a link to enose - that has been mothballed.
If OMH had anything near the market for testing MRSA they would be shouting it from the rooftops, MRSA,Avian Flu are examples of the future use of Optigene, that does not necessarily mean the Company will develope tests for them, as I see it the market will be flooded with tests by the time we could get an assay ready and approved. This does not mean we would not be able to use someone else's test on our Optigene platform, but that would mean licensing, etc.
Try and concentrate on what we know they are working on CF and CYP450 for eSensor and Thrombosis markers and STDs for Optigene, if the Company are able to add content for these platforms by Licensing or acquisition then all well and good, but let's not try to run before we can walk!
Trout.
ps. Also note OMH have not signed an agreement to use hybeacons for the testing of infectious diseases with LGC yet, the current agreement only deals with genetic testing, hence Thrombosis markers are first to market.
