On the last point I think Siemens is exclusively with Minerva..... (possibly Myrio I always forget which one)....
So you are correct and I agree with your positive interpretation of deals for people other than Siemens and Alcatel for Orca...
However.... I have just been on Infogate's website for a bit and they seem to have quite a few partners...
Case studies of there projects are on the following link...
I just watched all the videos of these case studies... probably the most important one is Swisscom the national teleco in Switzerland.... a top deal if only for a small country.... next best one would be the Malta deal... then lastly the deal for some kind of Israeli education interactive thing...
The Swiss deal will presumably go to the millions...
I'm a little worried as it appears to show that barriers to entry aren't too low... we really have to take the experts on their word that it is something very difficult to benchmark at 0.5m.... we also have to take Eli at his word that Infogate aren't serious competition... hmmmm.... he has made promises in the past and can't really be sure himself on this one...
So I think I will wait to see by February when we should have had an update on existing deals and possibly new developments...
Starting to fret a bit but a month or so isn't too long to wait... and afterall - as the hype goes - 2005 will be the year of IPTV and if Orca just gets one medium size country very intereted it will do well...
(although do think they should improve their website as Infogate's appears better)...
The slapster
P.S. Mr cat you appear to have good access to the Eli.... (I have met him once)...I would be interested in meeting up to discuss ORCA/Emblaze if you wish to exchange views.....
