"I tracked down the piece [about Scotia] in The (Glasgow) Herald.
It actually appeared in the Dec 23 printed version and reported interesting comments from Scotia's Dr Blackwall who is in charge of drug development. He is reported as saying that the company had a constructive meeting with the EU's scientific advisory panel, the EMEA, and is due to hold another meeting with the Agency shortly after the new year.
We knew this from the Scotia release dated Dec 22 but The Herald goes on to report that Dr B hopes to have a final - and positive - decision by the end of January. He is quoted as saying: "Getting approval in Europe would be a major milestone"
I think this is pretty upbeat and I'm surprised the comments haven't been picked up elsewhere.
Of course there's no guarantees and investors will need to be cautious about reading too much into Dr B's comments. They may be the words of a desperate executive!
