Directors have been busy exercising options and selling shares in GFRD.
Some significant trades took place today viz.
21 Dec: F E Nelson ex. options on 375000 shares @ 0.66p (value-2475 pds)
and sold 375000 shares @ 39p realising GBP146,250.
21 Dec: H W Try and spouse sold 2 million shares @ 39p realising
GBP780,000.
Also worth noting:
On 20 November, B K Luckett sold 30882 shares @ 32.5p
realising GBP10,036.65
having exercised options on the same number of shares on the previous
day (19 Nov)at an average price of 18p.
On 1 November, another director, G Marsh, bought 23229 shares @ 29.5p
for his ISA.
All the directors still hold a large number of shares in the company,
but I find the sales mentioned above interesting, as they have taken
place within a period of more or less a month. Profit-taking is never
a mistake and although GFRD hit an intra day high of 40p today,
the last time it saw 42p was on 21 June, 1994.This year's high was 40.75p
in May, but several buys today were at 40p or above. As ever, DYOR, but
keep watching developments.
In a review of the Construction and Building Materials sector,
the Investors Chronicle reported yesterday, that Galliford Try
had been hit by "economic worries" but there is still "good value"
in the stock! This is also my view, but I am also a great believer
in taking profits regularly!
To all on this thread: a Peaceful and Happy Christmas and
a Healthy, Satisfactory and Prosperous New Year!
