Chipperfrd
Well Pippin may be sleeping it all off, but I'll give you my picks (apart from OILEXCO):-
1. VOG - massive russian gas discovery with upside of condensate and more drilling, near oil production in kazahkstan, sucessful fundraising, rumour of more acquisitions, etc etc. Plenty of momentum and remains significantly undervalued. Figures of £10-£30 per share are being discussed by serious players.
2. EME - tiny MCap, drilling for massive gas (coal bed methane) in Germany (high gas sales prices), and re-entry of low risk, old oil prospect in Eagle Pool, California. Both sets of drilling results expected January 06.
3. VPC - rapidly unwinding hedging, N Sea play like OIL, but already producing 50,000 boepd. Massive cashflow as of 1/1/06, forward P/E about 4.5
4. Pippin would pick MXP, I fancy there might be a bit of a pullback, but that's probably just sour grapes as I sold too soon. Massive potential, but early stage, no near production.
5. Both Pippin and I would have to include BUR. Probably the best pick of the sector, plenty of newsflow expected in Q106, could pullback a little more first. Reached £9-60p in 05, I expect £20 or takeover by Xmas 06. Read the thread.
P.S. I nearly forgot, Pippin loves EEN as the most undervalued play in the sector.
