India Moves Missiles, Troops to Pakistan Border, AP Reports

New Delhi, Dec. 25 (Bloomberg) -- India moved ballistic missiles and troops to its border with Pakistan and ordered thousands of villagers to evacuate the disputed Kashmir region, the Associated Press reported.
India also moved air force jets closer to the border and smashed a dozen Pakistani bunkers. The weapons and jets were moved to the area after military authorities received intelligence that Pakistan was moving its forces there, AP said, citing an unidentified Indian air force official. Thousands of troops are said to be massing on both sides of the border, AP said.
The movements were the latest sign of rising tension between the two nuclear-armed nations since a suicide attack on India's Parliament Dec. 13. India says Pakistan's spy agency sponsored the attack with the help of two Islamic militant groups, AP said.
Pakistan detained the founder of one of the groups, Jaish-e- Mohammad, briefly Tuesday, AP said.
