No - Portugal never seems value for money in my opinion. Too expensive and 6 hour rounds from what I here. I am a links man myself and given the choice would be playing on a cold November morning at Royal St Georges rather than the sun on my back. Playing little cut shots into the wind round a nasty bunker is my idea of fun. Went to Peurto Banus for a golf break this year. Too hot for golf but the evening entertainment was rather better than St Andrews the year before.
My ideal would be to have a Lear jet drop me off at Peurto banus after a round at the Old Course.
