As you know the Royalty rate "mix" regarding NXT is just that, a mix and one we are still not privy too despite picking up snippets here and there.We do know that the QinetiQ type applications bring in a much higher revenue/consultancy mix (in relation to per unit)because NXT are part of the "problem solving" part aswell as the end solution.
As Tony works on the Railways I can say that an aweful lot of work and money is being spent in a lot of ways that should in the end, benefit NXT.For example UK trains tend to be made a lot heavier due to a lot of factors not least the track.Trouble is were do you lose the weight because not only can this effect "traction" ect it can also mean a lot more "noise" seeping into carriges ect.
This along with aeroplanes is the area Q are working on regarding "noise cancelation" so it can have a "double advantage" ie lighter weight/less noise/better sound.
Also over the next few years we are going to see a lot of "module" open air stations were the designs are similar according to Tony to petrol station canapy's so both "noise cancelation" and decent sound even more important then ever before.
As for "other" applications what about motorways/airports/buses the list could be endless for both decent sound and noise cancelation.?
Are we not as a nation looking at "windfarms" ect were the main objection is noise pollution as well as being ugly?
