you should really look at the facts. The techmark and even the nasdaq, since early later september have risen to almost 60% (currently up around 40%). What has QXL done ? its down nearly 50%.
So what does that tell you ? Answer = gone are the days when the market will blanket mark up the tech sector. It will do it very very selectively. Those stocks that are deserving of rerating will be have its shares revalued upwards. Those that are dead ducks will remain dead ducks. That include's QXL.
QXL, unfortunately is not a viable business - its burning millions a quarter and at the same time barely making a million in that same quarter. Thats what i call unviable. Bringing cash burn down is all very good but without sufficiently increasing turnover to even cover the costs (never mind making a profit) is all the hallmarks of a business sinking fast.
IMHO QXL will be put in adminstration in June or July 2002 - at the latest end of 2002. Its so obvious to see.
As a speculative punt, yes speculate - as an investment, dont make me laugh.
