dgmAustralia expands overseas
SYDNEY: dgmAustralia continues its rapid expansion, with new staff, new offices and now international expansion across the Tasman.
The Australian arm of dgm was established three years ago with six staff members. Today, dgm Australia has 30 full-time staff with an additional nine positions waiting to be filled.
The company has experienced a phenomenal 400% year-on-year growth and last month opened a new office in New Zealand to manage its growing number of cross-Tasman clients and affiliates.
Fionn Hyndman, managing director dgmAustralia, said: "Interest in affiliate marketing and search marketing is rapidly expanding both from existing clients, such as Apple, Virgin and Webjet, as well as from new business opportunities.”
Hyndman claims his company has no real competition within the affiliate marketing space in Australia and that demand is definitely outstripping supply. Hyndman said his main obstacle to growth was finding appropriately skilled staff to manage dgmAustralia's burgeoning list of clients.
Affiliate marketing is an under-utilised resource, argues Hyndman, that is “low risk, extremely cost effective and brings true ROI transparency into the marketing mix”. He believes demand, for services provided by affiliate marketing agencies like his, will only increase as advertisers realise the benefits of the pay-for-performance advertising model.
dgmAustralia's New Zealand office will be led by country manager Andrew McAllister, who previously worked for dgmUK. Again, finding staff is the only impediment to growth, the New Zealand office is already on a recruitment drive to build the New Zealand account service team to at least five.
Meanwhile, dgmAustralia's Sydney office has recruited Lauren Amos as key account manager in charge of the agency's major blue-chip clients. Amos joins from dgmUK where she managed clients such as British Telecom, Sky Digital, and Orange/Hutchinson.
Amos is originally from Sydney, where she worked for, among others, George Patterson Bates. She will report to dgmAustralia account director Scot Allen.
Globally, dgm provides services to more than 250 blue-chip clients using software that traces a consumer's journey from an affiliate's website through to that of the clients all the way to conversion.
