Evening all. Never thought a photo of some stock proof fencing could be so appealing! Another rubbish result for the Cherries, I see the Bantams managed to pick up just a point at home to Cheltenham.
fh, I note that you have posted on the British Polythene message board. I did have a look at these about 12 months ago when they were hovering around 390p. However, they quickly rose to 400p, 450p and then shot up to 500p before I could really get conversant with the stock, so I discounted them. However, they did drop below 400p again earlier this month, before recovering to the present 450p. With foreward PE's of 12 and 11, and a yield of 22p, these again appear interesting on a dip to perhaps 420p (or even better 400p). Just wondered what your thoughts are on BPI fh.
Gateside, congratulations on your tremendous performance. I am more than happy to be edged out as it shows that my performance, based on investment principals that have some common ground with many on this thread, is not necessarily a fluke. Have you been able to consistently post an outperformance of the market over the last few years? I have been been able to, but each year I do wonder whether I have just got lucky, and certainly thought that this luck was evening itself out when I was 10% down in the summer. Anyway, a clean slate for the new year and I look forward to locking horns with you over the next 12 months!
