Noddy Grows Up

I was having a look on www.amazon.co.uk at some of the buyer reviews for E.B books such as 'The Enchanted Wood', 'The Faraway Tree' and 'The Wishing Chair'. IMO any one of these books represents a potential childrens series vastly superior to any childrens televison made in the last 10 years. Forget Noddy, these are the real gold-mine. These books have 'Dr Who' potential (ie. zillions of episodes before the audience will start to lose interest). It is almost criminal how Chorion has under-exploited this stuff, and now talks of selling the IP to someone else. A couple of audio-books by Kate Winslet is their best effort to date with this stuff. Quite pathetic.
