NEB will fly: here's why

Share action groups are normally formed when shareholders are dissatisfied with the direction in which the management are taking the company. I don't believe its the case here.
All we are dissatisfied with is the lack of corporate news released into the market. However it is an issue that has materially contributed to a shareprice that can only be described as a joke
Agreed. As you say, there are no complaints about how the business is being run on a day-to-day basis, or the overall direction in which the Directors are taking the company.
But that doesn’t mean that a coordinated Shareholder Representative body can’t be established with just one very specific aim;
In order to ensure that the Management of NEB is doing everything at all times to ensure optimum shareholder value and that they are 100% focused on the importance of this.
I personally do not believe they are. As I said before I think their Corporate/Financlial PR is abysmal if not, nonexistent, and I think they really do believe that if they just keep their nose to the grindstone, everything will come good in the end.
There are many companies out there who get the PR and their image right from day one, and are often viewed as being all fur coat and no knickers.
How ironic it is then, that NEB do the hard bit of the job to shareholders satisfaction and are just slipping up on the final, but crucially important 1%.
This is an email posted on this BB from AG by Star, which in my view exemplifies their mindset only too clearly:

Dear Star,
Many thanks for kindly forwarding the thread.
A rather sad tone even sillier on the basis that Keith has a very much
bigger interest than ANYONE else in getting the share price up as he
owns over 15% of the company shares and was the single biggest
investor.
Clearly that leads to a dependency for a lot of smaller shareholders
but it's in Keith and all the boards interest as well as the small
shareholders to get the price up.
The criticism I will accept is the need to make more of our success.
Ironically the sentiment expressed in these sorts of forums is one of
the reasons we haven't gained traction in the market. If your own
shareholders don't stand behind the company the word gets round.
Well back to real business and getting the share price up.
I would like to wish you very well over the Christmas break and for the
New Year. Thank-you again for sharing the material with me.
Regards,
Andy Gannon.
The bit that sticks out for me is “If your own shareholders don't stand behind the company the word gets round”.
That just tells me that they are not thinking proactively on this matter. Waiting for “the word to get around”, whilst blaming the impatience of small shareholders for the lack of traction in growth of the share price is bullshit.
He feels that Shareholders should just show blind faith in the company, while they offer precious little encouragement for us to do so.
By AG’s own admission they need to make more of their successes. No Sh*t Sherlock!
I would welcome the opportunity to set up an agenda with the Management to coordinate an effective plan of action.
As far as setting up a S.H.A.G. is concerned (great acronym – only just realised it!!), on your recommendation M & C, I would be prepared to coordinate this if required.
I agree that it may well be best to wait to see what happens in the aftermath of the AGM – though in my heart I really do believe that the Board are so far up their own ar*ses on this particular point that they haven’t a clue how effective good Corporate & Finacial PR really could be for the shareprice & the Company. They really do need a reality check.
But lets watch and wait…… another 2 weeks aint gonna hurt…..
Hope you all are enjoying the New Year Break.
Regards
Malc
