NEB will fly: here's why
malkie - Thu, 30 Dec 04 :
Star - it goes without saying...it also puts our lives into perspective.
Sian -I'm not going to dwell on the principle of whether the management want me as a shareholder or not. Its not personal as far as I'm concerned, and I’m sure they have their reasons to believe that the company would be better off with less retail and more institutional investors.
However, I'm not one to leave a party just because someone doesn’t make me welcome. I'm also not one to let them ruin the party for me.
There may well be a bigger picture, but dwelling on conspiracy theories, is not going to help retail holders.
The bottom line is that NEB has to come good in the end for long-term holders. It’s just that we could have our jam sooner if the management had a better handle on their Corporate PR.
As I said before, NEB is ripe for a shareholders action group. they are not so big that our representation would be dwarfed (no institutional holders remember!!)And the Company is doing well enough now, so we would not be seen as compounding the company's problems.
We would get excellent coverage and support from the financial media – (an Irony which wont be lost on the Management) and we could also ask ADVFN for support...... At the very worst it would encourage news flow from the Company - at best we would get the price up to nearer where it should be. Believe me, Shareholder Action groups can work, as I said I have already been involved in two.
The first step would be a head count of shareholders and their holdings. (I'm in for 940,000).
If Foxrock cant do it, I will be happy to head it up, provided I can depend on the required support…….
Something to think about VERY seriously for the New Year
If anyone has any questions – please feel free to ask me on the BB
regards
Malc
