HIGH-MAST VIDEO SURVEYS
A Sky High video survey gives a permanent record of traffic situations ensuring vital information is not missed, and enabling accurate and supervised appraisal and evaluation to take place back at the office. Recordings can be used at public inquiries, design team meetings and to assess project feasibility.

With cameras set at a height of up to 30m, unparalleled views allow even the most complex junction to be surveyed effectively. Using our two camera system enables two junctions to be surveyed simultaneously therefore allowing complex origin / destination matrices to be constructed accurately without the need for registration plate surveys.

Unexpected results are also recorded such as pedestrian movements, near misses and one-way violations. Sky High units are extremely compact and self-contained and therefore only require a limited working space.

MULTIPLE CAMERA INNOVATION AND SURVEYS
Sky High are actively researching innovations that will enable us to provide competitive and cost-effective surveys and to this end we have devised cameras that enable surveys, previously impractical, to be undertaken. Cameras are designed to temporarily fix to suitable structures (normally street lighting columns). These cameras have full pan and tilt, and text and time / date superimposition and are powered by an individual power supply which enables 12-hour surveys to be undertaken.

Their unobtrusive design means the cameras are inconspicuous to both vehicles and pedestrians. They are ideal for use where parking a high-mast survey unit would be difficult or impractical. Sky High's systems also enable large-grade separated junctions to be video surveyed effectively and accurately without extortionate costs. Pedestrian surveys can be undertaken in busy streets where survey units would cause obstruction.
