Motion-Media is Spot on Target

I think one possible response to your doubts on the potential 'takeup' of the MM745 system is the degree of informal, even casual way an individual can use the system. This is because unlike a computer you can attract the attention of the other party by (wait for it) .....ringing them!
You might bring in one or two or more colleagues to join you in your call too. Remember, the MM745 is initially a high end user videophone. It is of course useable also as a conference 'phone too, see para 1.
In the end its 'horses for courses'. There are very many people who would not wish to pay £2,500 or thereabouts for such a unit, but there are very many people who would! As at the company's cash 'burn rate of the Summer 2002 Motions would need to sell just 800 units monthly ALONE to break even/make a small profit. VoIP is growing fantastically quickly, and it is this market which is being targeted for Videotelephony. The monthly 'sell' could be 5,000 or 10,000 units or more!
With other products, in particular a (hoped for) Telemedicine deal and a 'specific' deal involving a small US distributor for the MM745 virtually 'in the bag', plus further overhead cost reductions, MM have more than a fighting chance to claw their way through to profitability.
No, the truth is that while no deal is a deal until it is signed, at this price the risk/reward ratio is quite exeptionally weighted in favour of share ownership. Do your own research, as I have. The above opinion based on my own analysis.
