A Project manager should have been employed from the outset. It is now becoming evident that the management has stumbled on without clear objectives and not really knowing how to undertake a feasibility study. They have taken a piece meal approach reacting to the discovery of further mineralisation and public opposition as they encountered it. There appears to have been no strategy/plan in place to accommodate such possibilities.
The appointment of a project manager and the need for a review of the studies to date is an admission that their reliance on consultants and other advisers has not worked. Surprise, surprise!
The management certainly requires strenghtening and the appointed of an experienced chairman of stature although belated is to be welcomed.
