This is an archieved clip from an article about a large collapsed restaurant chain. The directors were banned from running a company for three years. It makes me sick to know they got away with it. Ted Heath called this sort of thing “the unpleasant face of capitalism”.

The court ruled the directors were responsible for "entering into transactions to the detriment of creditors and for which there was no commercial benefit to the company".
The big boss siphoned off £20 million and bought a French château,he got a 13 year ban.
