If I was a significant shareholder I would be writing to the company asking if the CEO, company secretary or 2 non executive directors cited any matters of potential concern to shareholders in the six months leading up to their resignation in meetings of the company, or in their letters of resignation. I would also be writing to the individuals who have left to ask the same question personally, asking whether they had or have any concerns related to corporate governance, accounting, or disclosure of information to the market re Minco. Shareholders should know if there are any signifcant factors behind their resignation which should be declared to the market.
Is there an audit committee to whom questions could also be directed at?
If anyone has done this, or is going to do this, then I am sure all holders would be interested in what is heard back.
Now may be the time to force the company to state in black and white that there are no significant issues which have not been disclosed to shareholders....I am intrigued as to whether anything may be flushed out which could be at the heart of these four departures....
ardently pressed platitudes from posters on here I am afraid would not cut it for me if I was a holder....I would want to see it in black and white from the company.
Letters should be written and sent by registered post and replies insisted upon.
