MINCO gold and silver explorer.... the facts
obsignal - Thu, 15 Dec 05 :
Just spoke to their Communications firm. No explanation for MD departure. No explanation for absence of such announcement from MIO website, though my contact said he'd "have a word" with MIO about that bit of PR housekeeping.
He conceded that departure of directors was always disturbing. I told him that the natives (on this string) were revolting... about time to have a little reassurance... crack on with Laguna...
I also said that all us regulars here were waiting not for the other shoe to drop, but for the other dozen shoes...
Mexican government kicks MIO out... environmental concerns... labour problems...
NONE of which I hasten to add has been proven or even rumoured, but one always looks for a reason for market cap to be risk-discounted, to make it so clearly below established assets, albeit those buried under tons of sludge...
I like Robin's posting: that faffing around was behind MD departure. Maybe my gut instinct, that MD was a good man but not "rough hands", was not so far off the mark after all. (I first had this thought at the AGM and am sorry I did not express it, ever-so-tactfully, to Roger.)
Any volunteers for some bare-hands mud-scooping in Mexico? Pay your own airfares but the first dozen tequilas are on me.
