MicroEmissive Displays (MED), the developer of low-power displays for the consumer electronics markets, rose 7p to 87p on reporting shipment of its first display. Edinburgh-based MED, floated on AIM last year at 150p, said the order — destined for Asia — will involve the displays being used in night-vision equipment for the leisure and sports markets. Bill Miller, chief executive, said the start of production and first shipment to a customer were “significant milestones”. MED had cash of £10.3 million at half-year stage.
