No less than four companies whose shares I have held recently (but not necessarily still holding) have consolidated their shares - CEL, HAMP, RTD and CKSN. In each case the shares were standing in the range 25-35p at the time of consolidation.
Given that today's perceived wisdom is to shed the 'penny stock' image and have a share that trades over £1, I would guess it's only a matter of time (and probably a short time at that) before MEG is 'advised' to follow the same path.
There will be a number of reasons given, such as companies with low valued shares being frowned on in USA, improved marketability, narrower % mm spreads etc. There will also presumably be a good fee in it for someone.
(Oh dear, that's the cynic in me ..... and at Christmas too!)
