MFI goodbye !

Thanks Fatnacker. Yes I've heard of recoveries, but I think consumer confidence will go against them and expect to see downward movement in the next few months. Whether or not MFI can recover is a tough judgement to make. I'd like to think they can recover as I bought both MFI kitchens and bathrooms in the past and they were both very good quality compared to price and it's a household name that it would be a shame to lose, but even well known businesses sometimes collapse and disappear forever (as we've already seen in this sector this year). If you take the view that recovery is dependent upon a post Christmas sales boom (which I do), then you just have to decide how sales/profit values are likely to compare to last year (when consumer confidence was also not great, but probably better than today). On the other hand, there does seem to have been some institutional buying over the past few months so maybe they know something I don't! Maybe I'll do nothing on this one and cross my fingers for the sake of the employees.
