When next week and at what price, fusebox?
Dyran over on iii has put a detailed case for shorting MFI, but even he says he's going to let it go up a bit further, then wait a bit, and only then short again.
And I have to agree with Instinct Trader, on a poor day this rise really was huge, and seems to require some special explanation. I don't buy the idea of positive weekend press coverage though - the papers aren't looking to make fools of themselves.
Right now I feel like the Duke Brothers in Trading Places: "turn the machines back on, turn the machines back on!!!" I'm left with a whole weekend to ponder what to do on Monday. Accept I got it wrong and close out the short for a modest loss, or ride the thing out until the falling trend resumes.
The long term trend seems obvious and unavoidable, which inclines me to stick with it; but at about 90p there would be a margin call and by that point the losses wouldn't be so modest any more.
