A strategy of acquisition of assets over production, whilst being very frustrating from investors point of view may in the long term have been proven to be just the right strategy.
With technologies changing very quickly in oil and gas exploration, pinpointing is becoming more and more accurate, but not a lot of good if you don't have the acreage in the first place, something that does not apply to MRP.
With literally millions of acres in Australia and more acreage signed up at Calvin, along with other projects it does give MRP a nice edge over other small oil and gas minnows.
And although 36-1 is not the be all and end all of the company, production would send a very important signal to the market which would give credibility on all the other assets and which does appear to be receiving attention again.
Although Orion may give another early cause for celebration in the New Year too.
Looks to be a very promising 2007 for MRP.
A little delivery as well and MRP will certainly be on those ever important first steps.
