With the likes of Shell and others being shafted in Russia, for the mid to longer term Russia will also pay a price as the bigger oilies pull back on investing in some of the less stable areas, as they are not going to invest billions to lose it all.
This IMHO will lead to less production in some of the countries who have decided to take more, and with less production and less money on exploration, will focus again on energy supplies, and especially home grown solutions both for the USA and Australia.
Small Oilies and gas that have based existence on one venture will then find it difficult and new ones find it almost impossible as tranches for explortion will no doubt increase in cost, and a very good reason why MRP is in a different leaguto to many of the small AIM stock.
