ym there will (likely) be selling because the sector is overheating and close to that double top. I can't remember the exact %age but typically something like 60% of a stock's price movement shadows that of its sector.
Fundamentally little has changed for retailers. Declining prices (and therefore margins) have not just disappeared overnight. The housing market has stabilized, but there are going to be no mammoth gains for some time to come.
Wage inflation is also low, and the taxation burden continues to rise as G 'thefter' B continues to plunder our private sector pay packets to pay the 35-hour week slackers in the public sector.
It is not doom and gloom, but it is not all roses in the garden either.
You may of course be right, but I would expect a retracement to 480.
