Laawrie, whats wrong with shorting? its no different than purchasing a share. Dealing in shares or derivatives is about making a profit I've traded and investing in equities and currency for 15 years I've had sucessful short trades and unsucessful short trades. I've also had sucessful long trades and unsucessful long trades.


I appreciate the BB is a bit of fun not to be taken seriously, but I just find this division between people who are short and who are long strange. Surely as investors/traders we should use both positions even if you use shorts to protect long positions.
