Good Luck to all still holding. Hopefully I will re-join you sometime in the new year.
Not quite sure how to interprete Tom and Guy's purchase. 100,000 shares each, or to put it correctly an investment of £10K at same time. For directors that have millions of the shares at an option price, I believe this is just an attempt to shore up share price. £10K spend is not exactly the last of the big spenders scenario for these guys. It is more of a token gesture for those that are lulled by the director buying-in-business.
Maybe I am just being a cynic but two directors buying the same token amount of shares at the same time looks more like a badly managed publicity exercise.
I still believe that MANA will come good. The company and management currently still sufferring from the loss of confidence generated by their ill-advised attempt to sell out to PETRA.
A lot of people like myself is sitting on the sidelines waiting for a clear indication on where the management is taking the company. Are they waiting to cart the company off to someone else at a price which to me is unsatisfactory? I initially thought that the company has an inherent worth of about 50p per share, but the management thought it was worth less than 13.7p per share.[ They sold the company for that amount to PETRA and this price included the £4 Million that MANA had in the bank]. This scenario leads me to think that either I have totally over-valued the company or something else is not cheking out. What again throws me is that there is a research note which the management subscribes to that values the MANA portforlio much higher than what the management tried to sell out for. This research note was produced well before all the other Kimberlite discoveries and additional licences. Hence management is actually telling us that the vaue of thee MANA portfolio has diminished from what it was about 5 years ago.
If the management got their sums right and there is not a significant value to the MANA portfolio then there is better options for investment within the market. [MANA is a long term investment with significant risks, so if there isn't significant value to be unlocked then, for example NOP becomes a much more better prospect. At least I can near enough guarantee that within 1 year I would double my money with NOP and within 2 years more than 3X my initial investment and the risk in NOP is almost negligible as they only have to develop known oil and gas discoveries]
