Did you know that the UK Land Registry supplies the exact price & date you bought your house for on the Internet for every person on the planet to see,if you bought your house since 01 Apr 2000 ?
Why not check to see if your personal financial details of your house purchase are on their website ?
Search for the price you paid for your house:
"Crown copyright material is reproduced with the permission of Land Registry. This material was last updated in September 2006. It covers the period from April 1st 2000 to September 2006"

This information has been publicly available for several years allowing
any member of the public to ring or go online and access information
regarding house prices and ownership. We are not unique in the fact that
we publish this information as there are many other sites that also
publish this data. As this information is widely available and after
consulting with The Land Registry department a decision has been made
that we will not remove individual's Land Registry data. If there is a
specific reason why your house price should be confidential you should
refer your correspondence to the Land Registry Corporate Lawyer, who
will consider special circumstances for removal of your property price.
