During the war my dad was on anti submarine patrol when he came up with a brilliant idea. They poured gallons of blue and green paint onto the ocean. Then when the sumarine put up periscope the paint stuck to the lens fooling the crew into thinking they were still under water. The sub captain would keep giving the order to surface and when they were about 100ft in the air my dad would shoot it down with anti aircraft fire. True story.
