Why don't they forget cancelling staff payrises and simply reduce Martin Read's, Andrew Given's and Jim Mckenna's salaries instead.
As far as I am aware these three are presentley getting paid the following each year...
Martin Read - 26,000,000
Andrew Given - 7,000,000
Jim Mckenna - 6,000,000
Correct me if these figures are wrong, I read them on the ft.com site where they have a list of UK directors salaries and Martin Read is the highest paid exec in the UK.
