I would certainly agree with those sentiments. Eric Daniels is a much better chief executive than Peter Ellwood and was a good appointment in my opinion. He has a clear strategy which is simplistic but deliverable. Concentrating on Retail banking is the way forward.

LloydsTSB has a lot of growth ahead in Credit Cards and Loans where it has traditionally had very poor product offerings. Getting a successful formula should help poach customers from rivals, and LloydsTSB can then target other products at these customers.

Scottish Widows will also have a much better year ahead. Lloyds did pay too much to buy this business and the timing was very bad. However, I believe Bankassurance is a good idea and should Widows perform better due to improving stockmarkets, investor confidence and more targeted insurance products then this will help push forward the share price.

The share price will climb to about £5.00 by the end of January and should end the year above £6.00. LloydsTSB will also be the best performing bank share this year(It has fallen far too much and needs a correction to accurately value the business).

Oh, and if the share price does happen to fall to about £4.00 expect Bank of America to step in and acquire the business. This may seem fanciful but only two UK retail banks are interesting the Americans, these are Barclays and LloydsTSB. Out of these two, LloydsTSB is the cheapest relative to assets. These two organisations would represent 'Scalps' to the brash American banks.

Lets see Lloyds back to where it ought to be!!!!!1
