LEADCOM, a real growth company
TaurusTheBear - Fri, 23 Dec 05 :
Liars - agree about IBG, but can't agree on SMC. We know that Internet retailing is a boom industry (ASOS explosions aside), but can we say the same about architecture? I think you're betting a lot on management at SMC, whereas at IBG you've got the management and the industry trend in your favour. I know which I prefer...
Arthurly - don't let FMJ get you down! ;-)
Saw an article on BBC World recently about how mobile comms. have taken off in Africa a lot better than expected (given the low consumer wages/ARPU). I think LEAD qualifies, at the moment, for being in an up-trend industry; as for the management, I don't know, but I can't see that they've done much wrong since flotation. I'm sticking here, my only proviso (if you can call it that) is that the company is getting towards mid-cap rather than micro-cap, so you may only double your money in 2006! ;-)
By the way, I'm in no way bearish on ASOS, even though I don't have shares there now, but look at it this way (one for you, Liars): ASC and LEAD are on practically the same market cap., but is ASC going to make over 5 million quid profit in 2006? I don't think so...
Anyway, half-cut already, so HAPPY XMAS ALL! :0)
