I am afriad you are wrong regards the benefits of taking the writ out on behalf of the RA. It is important as it gives us a seat at the table to be able to negotiate. What all those that chose to become members of the SOA fail to recognise is that we live in a democracy and as such people have choices. Why should I or any of the other 131 members HAVE to accept the horrendous proposal that was the SOA that disenfranchised our rights as shareholders. If you have read this document in full you will know that by signing to it you have no voice. We decided to take our chances because we disagreed what was on offer, that I am sure you cannot argue with is a choice we have the right to make. Having done that, no one in their right mind would sit back and do nothing when appropriate action can be taken to protect our interests. If DB had given PI's the option to sell their stake upon receipt of monies from Rybak then no doubt the RA would not be in existance. The fact that it is is down to DB I am afriad and no-one else.
If you knew what we knew now, you would be in the RA, the only thing is we didn't know thta when we made the decision to opt out. Take responsibility for your decision to support DB and allow others the same democratic right to follow their decisions through. After all, we do live in a democracy don't we. All this take about 'sharting the vast majority of shareholders' is complete bunkum. Our claim is for £3M and the assets are frozen for £34.5M so where is the problem. Proceedings are set for Oct 07 and no doubt Rybak will cut a deal. We will get our money back and you will get what you were happy to sign up for so everyone is happy. As I say, I can't see the problem at all.
