the railwaymen & qurashim. I bought a few LGB very shortly before suspension on 11/10/05 in a Barclays nominee account. They have told me, in writing, the shares have been delivered by the MM and they can send me a share certificate for a fee of £15. The person at their Client Services Team who replied to me is Scott Marshall. I will check again & try to get the name of the MM who supplied my shares

dogsbody...exactly the same as they told me about my purchase on 11/10/05. perhaps we should call their bluff and ask for the certificates.
Unfortunately, because of the CREST freeze, the certificates can not be issued. But if you do want to check if the broker was lying to you, then I suggest you send me the following info:
Date
Time
Number of shares
price
Contract Number
Then I can check with the FSA to find out if the broker was telling the truth.
There's no guarantees that the FSA will answer, but it has to be worth a try.
