Here is my response to the broker's e-mail...

"The contract note is not proof of settlement between yourselves and the mm. Please can you provide this, as well as the name of the mm and the date of settlement, with any relevant reference numbers and / or other data. Whilst I appreciate it is not normal practice to provide the name of the mm, I do not think this is unreasonable in these circumstances.
I think there is confusion at your end regards proof of settlement between you and I and you and the mm....it is the latter I require".
