However, different cultures have different ways of doing things. How did the Brazillian DD go wrong? Why didn't SP come away having discovered the truth? Unless the BdB systems recorded the CDs even a small amount of local input to the DD would have been bound to discover the Fraud.

The thing is that this DD should have been done by local professionals at the time. This is because during late May and early June SP was most likley involved. He should have insisted that the company was protected both contractually, through warranties and guarantees and by DD (may be he has done, we dont know yet).

If you sell a car you dont let it go for a cheque you get cleared funds. You also think very carefully before accepting payment for something as it could be in full and final settlement when maybe you dont want it to be.
