Given the RNSs stating money confirmed, money transferred etc one wonders why anyone would be short..unless they suspected/knew that the RNSs were incorrect, or also knew that certain main shareholders were dumping as fast as they could, or knew that the transfer to ABN Amro had failed...certain individuals and certain institutions had access to more price sensitive info than the average PI.
As some have said, the alleged perpetrators could be selling in to strength, but also entering in to CFDs to leverage the position as well, especially if they can dump enough shares to materially affect the sp.
This is why "exactly the same information" wasn't available to everyone, and why we would like to know which institutions were short and what information they had that wasn't in the public domain or had been deliberately withheld from shareholders. I remember seeing the RNS stating money successfully transferred to ABN Amro, but no RNS stating the transfer was rejected until the Kroll report.
Vital information was definitely withheld imho.
