The outstanding share certificate for 9k shares were settled through Crest and the market maker were SCAP according to BS. Still they have been unable to get the share certificate from them, I do not know what course of action to take!!!!
No I didn't receive the email, but the fact that it was SCAP does not surprise me. They were responsible for other shorts, so it was a good possibility that your trade was with them as well.
If Barclays are certain that it settled (and they normally are reliable) then that does not explain why the share certificate was not issued. Because the CREST account being frozen did not happen till much later. I suggest we check with the FSA next week and determine if the broker was telling the truth.
