marksp, anyone....my broker tells me the shares have been purchased in their name, not mine....."The contract note you received from us is your proof of the purchase and your ownership of the shares. As the shares are in our Nominee name, as you know they're not under your name on the share register. However, as I mentioned we will certainly ensure that we vote on your behalf if you instruct us a few working days prior to the deadline".....what's the potential neg impact of this, if any???
Thanks

1.You own the shares as soon as your buy order is processed
2.If certiificated or crest member your name wiill be on the share register...ask the registrar. If nominee..ask your broker to prove it
3.That depends if you are talking about a certificated trade or, a request to rematerialise a nominee holding.....the discussions on this thread primarily relate to trades that were not fully completed at the time of suspension. Trying to rematerialise a nominee holding is a completely different kettle of fish - if you are registered with the nominee, you are registered...you are debating the form your owned asset is represented in...a digital record or, a digital AND papaer record
