You talk about non-delivery of certificates. I hold my shares in a nominee account. I have held for quite a while before suspension. Can i request certificates and are they likely to be able to deliver them?
Yes you can request to have your shares converted into certificates. They will charge you a fee for this. If they can not deliver the certificate, this might be due to the Bermudan Authorities restriction on registration. However, you can ask the Broker if the shares are in the nominee account or if they were not delivered and if you have your transaction number, verify (with the AIM) if they are undelivered. A report is prepared each month with the number of outstanding transactions past settlement date and the Exchange can check this.
I would reccommend all nominee holders to convert to certificate now. If there has been shorting, you ought to find out if you were a victim.
