Southern Imperial Eyes Improved Customer Service, Visibility with New WMS

Downers Grove, IL — December 15, 2005 — Retail display company Southern Imperial has tapped Integrated Warehousing Solutions to provide a warehouse management system (WMS) for implementation in its manufacturing and warehouse facility, the solution provider has announced.

In business since 1956, Southern Imperial designs and manufactures stock and custom display items, such as hooks and accessories, stock displays and shelving solutions. Its product line ranges from pegboard hooks, label holders and labels to cross-merchandising product display components and customer powder-coated wire displays.

The company will deploy IWS' IRMS Warehouse Management System at its 400,000-square-foot facility, located in Rockford, Ill., including integration with Psion-Teklogix RF, the Fourth Shift third-party enterprise resource planning (ERP) system used in manufacturing and financials, and Kewill's ClipperShip multi-carrier shipping solution.
