The Channel Tunnel has been closed after a group of about 150 asylum seekers tried to cross illegally into the UK.
Eurotunnel services were suspended after the group broke through barriers on the French side of the tunnel at 2010GMT on Christmas Day.
A spokeswoman for Eurotunnel said French police were holding 129 people and were searching the tunnel for about 20 others.
It is believed the group were taking advantage of the lack of train traffic through the tunnel on Christmas Day to try to walk the 25 miles to the UK undetected.
There is no Eurostar service on 25 and 26 December.
But Eurotunnel operates two trains per hour. Passengers whose trains have been delayed have been put up in hotels in the UK and in France.
