Russia-Ukraine crisis talks on gas supplies suspended
MOSCOW (AFX) - Crisis talks between senior Russian and Ukrainian negotiators
to resolve a gas price dispute ended with no deal on Thursday in Moscow but will
resume Friday just hours ahead of a deadline for cutting off supplies to Kiev,
Russian news agencies reported.
"We had the latest round of talks. An instruction was given to specialists
from Gazprom and Ukraine's Naftogaz to prepare documents so that we can look at
them once again tomorrow," Ukrainian Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov was quoted by
the news agency Interfax as saying.
