No agreement reached at Fradkov-Yekhanurov negotiations - source
Moscow, December 19 (Interfax) - No agreement on the terms of Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine in 2006 was reached at negotiations between Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov and Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuri Yekhanurov, a Russian delegation source told Interfax.
"The sides have once again defined their positions, and Ukraine now has a better understanding of the need for market prices for gas and transit. Yet Ukraine has not realized that this should be done immediately," the source said.
Negotiations will continue between Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy, he said.
"Specific prices were not discussed [at the premiers' negotiations]. It is a matter of economic entities. Each of them has their own method of price formation, and these methods will be discussed," the source said.
