EuralTrans Gas awaits ownership change in January

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Expectations are that the company EuralTrans Gas will see ownership changes next month. A source close to the deal has told Interfax that two British companies will become owners in the company, one of which-JKX Oil&Gas-had announced last June its intentions to buy 30% of the ETG stock. The other is "a respectable Western European company," he said. Ukraine's Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 9% of the JKX stock. The source said that plans call for significantly raising ETG's charter capital and transforming the company from a limited liability company into a joint-stock outfit. EuralTrans Gas, registered in Hungary, was originally set up to sell gas produced in Central Asia to European consumers. ETG is now shipping Turkish gas to Ukraine. The company is currently owned by three Romanian and one Israeli citizens.
